Double Seal Mixproof Valve is designed for safety and leakage testing when two different products flow through only one valve. This valve is commonly used as a component in CIP return pipes or other systems that have not encountered pressure peaks, to provide leak detection to ensure greater safety.
The valve is a pneumatically actuated single-seat double-sealed anti-cross-contamination valve driven by compressed air.
The single-seat double-sealed anti-mixing valve is standardly configured with a single-acting
pneumatic actuator (air-open spring-close). In the event of a compressed air supply failure, the valve will return to a safe position (normally closed).
The leak piston valve is installed in the normally open (NO) state (air-off spring open), allowing
leaked products to flow out and trigger a leak signal when the valve is normally closed.
The valve seat is equipped with two sealing rings, forming a leak chamber between the two sealing elements.
The leak chamber has an outlet connected to the external via the leak valve chamber, enabling the entire leak piston valve to prevent cross-contamination between upper and lower pipelines, thereby enhancing product production safety.
When the valve opens, compressed air passes through the pneumatic actuator while simultaneously closing the leak chamber valve, preventing product
leakage.
The leak valve closes first when the valve is open, and the leak chamber opens later when the valve is closed, ensuring no product flows out.
The Double Seal Mixproof Valve is suitable for sanitation and disinfection before heat treatment in the dairy industry, or for sanitation and disinfection of fermentation and storage areas in the brewing and beverage industry.
