The bunging pressure regulator or bunging pressure valve from VTY is a self-acting device, or could be manually operated to release air out of tanks. It is used in beer fermentation tank and bright beer tank.
It allows brewer to calibrate from 1 bar to 2 bar to obtain desired beer carbonation. With a pressure gauge installed, it enables pressure to be monitored with a precise numeric value. It receives the pressure of regulating control unit and uses power operation to change the final control elements of medium flow, pressure, temperature, liquid level and other process parameters.

A bunging pressure regulator is used on the top of fermentation and bright beer tanks in breweries to precisely control and maintain CO2 top-pressure during the fermentation and conditioning processes.
A safety relief valve acts as an emergency backup that pops wide open only at dangerous pressure limits to prevent tank damage. In contrast, a bunging regulator is an active process tool that continuously modulates, fine-tuning and venting tiny amounts of gas to maintain an exact, user-adjustable pressure during production.
While the valve's stainless steel body resists CIP chemicals, the sensitive internal gauge and scaling cup can be damaged by extreme heat or pressure surges, making manual cleaning or a dedicated bypass loop highly recommended.
It is used to automatically maintain a precise top-pressure inside a fermentation tank. By trapping a specific amount of CO2 naturally produced by yeast during the tail end of fermentation, it allows brewers to naturally carbonate their beer and control foam formation.
