The DIN Sanitary Butterfly Valve from VTY is a type of quarter-turn valve used to control the flow of liquids and gases in pipes. It is designed for high-purity industries such as food processing and pharmaceuticals.
They are commonly and widely used because of low cost, simple structure and easy maintenance. It adopts the German standard DIN11851, which is widely used in the beer industry. We offer it with manual handle and pneumatic or electric actuator operated.

Because the VTY valve has a flush-bottom design, it fully supports CIP:
Open valve fully – eliminates dead zone in the seal area
CIP cycle – min 15 min at 70–85°C with 1.5–3% alkaline/acid solution
Final rinse – purified water until pH neutral
Never clean with valve partially open – product may accumulate behind the disc.
Observe whether there is leakage when the valve is closed. If leakage is found, it may be due to wear, aging, or foreign matter in the seal
After disassembly, check whether the seal has cracks, deformation, hardening, or scratches. If any of these problems exist, it must be replaced immediately.
Choose a food-grade seal that matches the original model
Ensure that the seal is not twisted or misaligned during installation, and that there are no foreign objects in the valve body sealing groove to avoid secondary leakage due to improper installation.
