The sanitary hose adapter from VTY is used to connect sanitary flexible hoses to a process pipe line. These adapters are available in SS 304, 304L and 316L, and are widely used in Europe and North America. The inner surface of Sanitary Hose Adapter must be polished.
Ordinary sanitary grade: Ra≤0.8µm
High purity/pharmaceutical grade: Ra≤0.4µm
Different media have different requirements for gasket swelling and temperature resistance:
EPDM: Good steam resistance, commonly used.
Silicone: Excellent flexibility and biocompatibility, commonly used in biopharmaceuticals.
Viton: Oil-resistant, high-temperature resistant, chemical-resistant.
PTFE: Most chemically stable, but less elastic.
Ensure that the working pressure of the fitting is higher than the maximum instantaneous pressure of the hose and pumping system.
Consider whether there is a SIP (Sterilize-in-Place with steam) requirement; fittings and seals must remain stable at 121℃or 135℃ during this process.
1.It is strictly forbidden to use fittings with burrs or exposed threads to come into contact with materials.
2.Pay attention to compatibility: Even if they are all clamp fittings, there are slight differences in size (outer diameter and wall thickness) between DIN, ISO, and SMS standards. Mixing them may create step dead angles.
3.Certification verification: Ensure that the supplier can provide FDA, USP Class VI, or 3A certification reports.
