Sanitary Stainless Steel Elbow

VTY Sanitary Stainless Steel Elbow refers to a type of sanitary fitting installed between two pipe or tubing sections. It is designed to enable a directional change. These corner fittings typically form a 90-degree or 45-degree angle, and can be divided into the long elbow and the short elbow.

Sanitary elbow fittings are tailored for single-use fluid transfer scenarios where maintaining sanitary processing is important. They find extensive applications in industries such as petroleum, chemicals, electric power, pharmaceuticals, beer brewing, food processing, dairy beverages, cosmetics, and more.

What is the classification of sanitary elbow fittings?

Sanitary elbows can also differ in their length. A long-radius or long elbow features a curvature radius that is 1.5 times the pipe's diameter. However, a short-radius or short elbow has a radius equal to the pipe's diameter.

Sanitary elbows can also differ in their joining methods. There are two types of sanitary elbows: welded elbows or clamp elbows. Welded elbows are connected to the piping system by welding or casting, whereas clamp elbows are designed with threads on both ends to be screwed into threaded pipes.
