Sanitary RJT Union

The Sanitary RJT Union from VTY factory is used for frequently dismantled sections of pipework or hosing. It is a hygienic pipe fitting designed according to BS 4825 Part 5 standard, widely used in UK and European legacy piping systems.

What is the lifespan and maintenance cost?

The lifespan of stainless steel Sanitary RJT Unions is comparatively long under normal use and regular maintenance. The lifespan can be several years and even longer. Maintenance costs mainly arise from the replacement of gaskets and surface polishing needed on occasion. The investment in sanitary unions is somewhat higher at the beginning, compared with other types of fittings. In the long run, since they can be dismantled and it have high durability, the overall cost of use is lower.

What should be noted for installation?

When installing Sanitary RJT Unions, ensure that the pipe end is flat and clean to avoid debris entering the connection area. Use a proper tool, like a wrench, to tighten the nuts. Do not tighten them with excessive force to protect seals and threaded parts. These unions are designed for quick dismantling, making them easy to clean and maintain.
